Important Update: The Mandatory Phaseout of Older AC Refrigerants
The phaseout of R-410A AC refrigerant has several dates, including:
- January 1, 2025: Manufacturers will no longer be allowed to import or produce self-contained HVAC systems that use R-410A. Any remaining inventory will begin to become scarce.
- January 1, 2026: HVAC Contractors will no longer be allowed to install R-410A products.
